The new Stereodynator®

Connectors
The unit has 2 independent channels. You can treat 2 patients in parallel or one patient with interferential therapy. The optional Venturi suction is integrated in the same housing and is being applied via the same connectors. Most accessories from older gbo equipment can be used. Ultrasound heads are connected in the rear of the housing.
 
Mechanics
“High-Tech“-design with solid 8mm brushed aluminium frontplate and 15‘‘ TFT LCD full color touchscreen. The screen is tilted towards the user for easy access. The user interface has been ergonomically designed to achieve maximum usability.
Inside you have a complete range of Electrotherapy currents including the unique 3-dimensional stereodynamic interferential current generated only by a 3-channel interference.

Quick Start

With a simple touch the user selects a therapy out of his own list of favorites. The selected therapy is loaded into the front channel where all parameters are shown. You can start the therapy by simply turning the intensity knob.

Main Screen

Front Window
The window with the light blue background identifies the front channel. On this channel you can operate directly, i.e. you can change the intensity by turning the intensity knob and you can modify therapy parameters. The head area holds basic information like name of therapy, current applied in mA and remaining therapy time.
 
Therapy Details
Parameters of the therapy in the front channel are shown in detail. They can be modified individually by a simple touch. This allows you to create your own therapies and store them under a name of your choice. The current signal is visualized graphically and, if an indication is used, an application picture is shown.
 
Back Window
The dark blue background identifies the back channel. It displays only the basic information on the loaded therapy. To work on that channel, i.e. to change parameters or intensity, you have to first touch this area to move that channel to the front.
 
Favorites
The list of favorites contains the therapies that you have used most. Each of the favorites can be selected directly with a simple touch. A favorite can be a standard current (ex.: TENS) or a user current (ex.: Peter’s Pain Programm) or an indication (ex.: Arthrosis).

More Therapies
While the list of favorites holds your daily therapies this is your access to “More Therapies”: Discover the whole range of therapies known in the world of Electrotherapy.
 
Standard/Own
You can choose between “Standard Therapies”, which are permanently implemented in the unit and cannot be changed, and “My Therapies”, which  you can create yourself and which can be modified to your needs.
 
Current Types
The different types of current can be selected or deselected, i.e. this is an optional filter. It is useful to shorten the list from which you can choose a therapy.
 
Current List
This is the list of currents available in this device. You can select your current with a touch. The signal form of the selected current is shown graphically.
 
Accept
Load the selected current into the front channel.

Indications

Indications
This is your access to indications integrated in the unit.
 
ET/Comb/Sono
You can select indications using

• Electrotherapy,
• Combination Therapy (Ultrasound & Electrotherapy combined) and
• Ultrasound Therapy.
  

Patients

List of Patients
This is the list of all your patients. Select the patient that is going to be treated next by a simple touch on his name. If your list is very long you can scroll it or use the comfortable search function. Of course the login of a patient is optional – But: With a logged-in patient your Stereodynator automatically records the therapy session in a logbook and thereby creates a valuable documentation.
 
List of sessions
Select the therapy session on which you want more detailed information.
 
Therapy Information
For the selected therapy session you can see the treatment given including therapy time and intensity. If there had been any noteworthy comments they can also be found here.
 
Accept all
Therapy type and patient’s name of the selected therapy session are being loaded into the front channel. This is a straight forward way to treat the patient with the same therapy as the last time. Furtheron an automatic record of the treatment is created.
 
Patient – Electrotherapy
Load the patient’s name only into the front channel. This is used if a patient returns for the next treatment and you want to use a new therapy.
 
Patient – ultrasound
Load the patient’s name only into the Ultrasound menu. This way an automatic record of the Ultrasound treatment is created and the documentation of the patient’s treatments is complete.
 
Edit comment
The comment to the selected therapy session can be edited.
 
Cancel
You exit the window without action and return to the front channel.

Patients – New patient

Use the Virtual Keyboard to set up a new patient record.

Optional Modules

Ultrasound
The mini-display on the button informs you about present Ultrasound intensity and remaining therapy time. To modify parameters the flyout menu is at your disposal.
You can use Ultrasound heads of 5 cm2, 2.5 cm2 and 1 cm2 which are automatically recognized by the unit.

Optional Modules

Suction
The mini-display on the button informs you about present suction intensity and setting of applied suction massage. In the flyout menu you can modify these parameters and you can select on which channels to use the suction. The Sterodynator® uses an extremely low noise Venturi suction module that eliminates the messy waste water container and lets you handle suction cups very easily.
